My name is Karen Coble Albright.
I am from North Carolina and love it. My paralegal studies have earned me a associates degree; I am a homemaker today.
I have two great children and five grand kids. My father was a teacher and a coach. As was my aunt and uncle
All parents have a God given right to be a part of their child’s learning experiences, and what they learn. We always had PTA meetings for parents and teachers every month to review all aspects of their school month. This forms a communication between the teachers and the parents and is very helpful .
Now we need to be sure that when our kids go to school, they are safe from any harm or bullying or any kind of persecution. Our schools need to be protected these days, and have a security system, and a school guard.
Boys should never be allowed to go into the girls’ bathrooms or gym rooms, and they should not be allowed to play in girls’ sports.
Our school libraries and reading material should be age appropriate, without any unappropriated material being allowed in the school or library.
The school board and the families should know where the school finances are going and being spent. This is their business.
Our teachers and guidance counselors need fair and competitive pay. We need to know our teachers.
I would welcome the opportunity to serve others and be a voice for our children, parents, and community, working as a team. I will do everything in my power to improve our student's educational experience.
Thank you.
